What is Pronunciation?
Pronunciation means how we say a word clearly and correctly so others can understand us.
Good pronunciation helps people know what you're trying to say.
It includes 4 main things:
1. Sounds of Vowels and Consonants
Every word is made of sounds. These are vowels (a, e, i, o, u) and consonants (b, c, d, f, g...).
Pronouncing each sound clearly helps the listener understand.
2. Word Stress
In longer words, one part (syllable) is said louder or stronger.
Stressing the wrong syllable can confuse people.
3. Intonation (Rising or Falling Tone)
This means how your voice moves up or down when you speak.
It helps show feelings or question/statement.
4. Syllables
A syllable is a sound part of a word — each part has one vowel sound.
Knowing syllables helps with spelling, stress, and pronunciation.
