Structure:
Subject + would rather + base verb + than + base verb
Note:
- Prefer > to like one thing more than another.
- Would rather > to choose one thing instead of another in a specific situation.
Formality
- Prefer is a little more formal and often used in writing.
- Would rather is more informal and common in speaking.
